One of the most important documentary films in the world is at risk of disappearing forever
and almost no one would know it happened
The title of the film is The Price of Green Energy. It was produced by DW (Deutsche Welle), “a German public, state-owned international broadcaster funded by the German federal tax budget” (Wikipedia). Though it originates in Germany, this film is narrated and overdubbed in English.
Here’s a link to an essentially pirated copy of the film on YouTube.: The price of green energy by DW Documentary - YouTube It’s anyone’s guess how long this or any other copy of the film will be available online. I would guess whoever removed it, or had it removed, from the DW website and YouTube channel wants this film to be scrubbed from the web forever, or why would it not be among DW’s many documentaries available through these original sources. Odds are this film has enemies in high places. So it’s a film which really needs some friends. Urgently.
I watched The Price of Green Energy yesterday. It was by far the best film on the topic of how “green energy” is really anything but green (sustainable, clean, non-harmful to the Earth and to people). It’s also devastating to watch. I literally felt sick in my heart (chest) … and in my gut … while watching it, and that sensation had me for the remainder of the day. I can still feel it to some extent. This film is profoundly informative and urgently important. Sometimes painful truths need to be faced, even when it may make us feel sick in our hearts and bellies. The truth is important, and valuable. And so I encourage you to watch and listen — and feel. And then please share this film as widely as you can. And please help protect it from disappearing.
I learned of this film at The Real Green New Deal website. Home | The REAL Green New Deal Project (realgnd.org)
Real is true. True is real. It may hurt, but at least it’s … well, real.
Disturbing. Towards the end it becomes clear that the main problem is capitalism. Thanks for sharing. I have passed it on.
Thanks James. We'll watch. Bright Green Lies is also goodly in this space. x
